The noise created by motorized recreation on Morgan Road, especially UTVs (Side-by-Sides), is extremely disruptive to those living on and nearby Morgan Road.
For the past two years Broken Arrow neighbors have been part of the Greater Sedona Recreation Collaborative (GSRC) which includes representatives from the City of Sedona, U.S. Forest Service, AZ State Parks, Yavapai County, OHV rental companies, and residents.
The GSRC conducted a noise study on Morgan Road and determined that noise impacts could be reduced through a lower speed limit. A lower speed limit for UTVs (Side-by-Sides) would improve pedestrian safety and reduce noise, while retaining a normal traffic flow for all other vehicles.
